Since starting college, keeping up with my blog has been a lot more challenging, but anyone who knows me knows that I love a good challenge! As you can tell by the title, today, I will be kicking it old school with a ‘What’s in my Bag?’ post, but I will be making it unique by sharing my most used university supplies.

The only bag that I use for college is the Calvin Klein Saffiano Leather Chain-Rimmed Tote Bag in ‘Rose Gold’, which I bought myself specifically for carrying my everyday school essentials. Because this particular color was discontinued, I was able to purchase the bag for nearly half the original price from a website called 6pm and I am so glad I did because it is the absolute perfect bag for me. Not only is it in my signature hue (which matches with everything, by the way), but it is very high quality and practical. The leather is extremely durable, the strong handles allow me to carry heavy books, and with two exterior slip pockets as well as four open pockets, a zipped pocket, and a zipped center divider pocket on the inside, I can fit so much in it while staying organized. I love everything about this handbag and highly, highly recommend it if you are looking for a stylish and sensible alternative to a backpack or book bag!

The contents of my bag varies slightly each daily depending on my schedule, but regardless of whether I am going to journalism, history, or one of my English classes, I am always bring my laptop as well as whatever notebooks or textbooks I will need. I always arrive to class well-prepared and organized, so having my Victoria’s Secret ‘pencil  case’ — yes, even my stationary supplies are actually cosmetic accessories — and pink planner is crucial!  Obviously, I always carry my phone, my student ID, and my wallet wherever I go, but I also recently got this portable phone charger, which is very useful for long days. Lastly, in my little cosmetics bag, I keep just the essentials. Besides my lip products, I almost never touch up my makeup throughout the day, but keeping my lips hydrated with lip balm is so important and I do think a swipe of rosy lip gloss instantly makes me look ten times more awake and feel ten times more confident. I also keep a hair tie, a stick concealer for emergencies, and my beloved Chanel compact mirror.
