I will forever be in love with affordable, drugstore makeup. Today, I am honoring this love by sharing my top ten makeup recommendations for beginners, all of which are under $10.

The L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation:is my all-time favorite base product for everyday because it has the most versatile light to medium coverage with a pretty, glowy finish. It looks natural and performs just as well as my high-end foundations.

Needless to say, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is my top recommendation. Whether you have dry or oily skin, this is ideal for highlighting the center of the face and disgusting any and all discoloration.

For now, the Rimmel Stay Matte Transparent Powder xi s the only pressed powder I will ever purchase. Not only is it very affordable, it also keeps oil at bay while extending the wear time of your makeup.

My most loved drugstore bronzer is the classic N.Y.C ‘Sunny’ Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder. I own and enjoy several expensive bronzers, but this formula honestly feels just as luxurious; it is very pigmented without being overwhelming and it blends so nicely!

I recently purchased the Milani Rose Powder Blush in ‘Romantic Rose’ and wow, is it beautiful! It is the perfect neutral with mauve undertones and it applies so easily the cheeks. Milani has some of the best blushes on the market.

The Hard Candy Glow All the Way Baked Highlighter in ‘Tiki’ is actually the only affordable highlighter I own — this has so many different purposes that I don’t feel the need for anything else. It provides a believable sheen to the cheekbones without emphasizing any unwanted texture and also can be combined with powder to set the face.

Over the holidays, I purchased several ColourPop Super Shock Shadows and believe me when I say they are completely worth the hype. They are so creamy, pigmented, and blendable that I want to buy all of the shades. I currently own ‘Weenie’, ‘Amaze’, ‘La La’, and ‘Wattles’, but since they are only $5, I’m sure I’ll try more soon.

I don’t know if you can tell by the photo, but after year of relying on the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner to create my perfect wing, I am finally almost in need of a fresh pot. Because it is so rich and creamy, it makes it easy to glide along the lash line for extra definition!

Ever since first trying the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara, I haven’t even touched my other ones. It is a great alternative to my Too Faced Better Than Sex, but how I can rest assured knowing that I don’t have to mess up my mascara over its cost.

If you’ve been a loyal reader of my blog, then you’ll know that I am in love with my Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipsticks. I own two red shades and two pinky-nudes, and I use them all as much as I possibly can! The consistency is so pigmented and buttery, and they really do last a long time.

I am always on the lookout for the best affordable makeup, so please be sure to leave your favorite products down below!

XOXO,
Makena
