Hello, everyone! In case you didn’t read the title, today I will be reviewing the new Too Faced Natural Matte Eyeshadow Collection, which costs $36. I bought this as soon as it came out because I am obsessed with anything and everything Too Faced. If you read the review I wrote earlier, then you know that I absolutely love my Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. Because of this, I had super high expectations for this one.

As you can see, this palette contains 9 all matte eyeshadows, meaning they have no shimmery, sparkle, or glitter whatsoever! According to Ulta’s website, this palette “took the nine shades from their best-selling Natural Eyes palette and made them matte”.

This palette has the same packaging as Natural Eyes one and I really do like it. It is very compact and travel-friendly with a mirror and a Glamour Guide

As a mentioned in my review of the other Too Faced Eyeshadow Collection, the shades are organized into rows for a complete look.

DAY: Heaven (cream); Cashmere Bunny (taupe); Sexpresso (deep brown)

CLASSIC: Lace Teddy (soft peach); Strapless (burnt rose); Risque (cool dark brown)

FASHION: Nudie (fawn); Honey Butter (light caramel); Chocolate Cookie (warm medium brown)

If you already own the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette, then you probably realized that this one has four of the same shades as that one including Heaven, Cashmere Bunny, Sexpresso, and Nudie.

These shades are amazing quality! They have excellent pigmentation, yet blend really easily. If you use a primer, they last around 12 hours without creasing or fading. Because there are obviously no sparkles, they don’t have any fallout.

Personally, I do not think this is an ideal product for bringing on vacation because I always use a mix of shimmery and matte colors to create a complete look. For this reason, I much prefer my Natural Eyes palette which has a variety of finished. Honestly, I do not reach for this palette very much because I have to go and get it just for one matte transition shade. I wish Too Faced sold these shades individually.

If you are like me and prefer using a combination of shimmery and matte shades to do your eye makeup, I would strongly suggest that you really consider if you would actually use this on an everyday basis and make sure that the store you are buying it from has a lenient return policy. Also, I would recommend buying this in a store, instead of online because the colors look different in person than they do in many of the pictures.

These shadows are wonderful quality and I would definitely recommend them to anyone loves matte eyeshadow or is searching for some good ones. I know from experience how hard it is to find good matte shadows in the drugstore, so I am really glad that I can add these to my collection. If you are interested in purchasing these you can find them here.

I had several requests for this specific review and worked really hard on it, so thanks for reading!

XOXO,
Makena

  1. The colours look great! But I find it to be too over priced.

  2. The colors are very pretty and unique. I completely understand! When you do the math each shade would cost around $4 which is actually pretty inexpensive. You just have to consider if you would really use them all on a regular basis. A more inexpensive option for you might be the Sonia Kashuk Eye Coutoure Matte Eye Palette for $20 at Target. http://www.target.com/p/sonia-kashuk-eye-couture-eye-palette-eye-on-neutral-02/-/A-13348177#prodSlot=medium_1_26

  3. […] Too Faced Natural Matte Eyeshadow Collection: Although I don’t use this palette to create a complete look, I love using each individual shade for my transition/blending colors! They’re all so unique and have such amazing quality that I can’t help but love them! If you want to know more about this palette, just read my review! […]
