Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I am always trying to learn how I can improve my makeup routine while on vacation. I am constantly inspired by eye-catching yet easy looks and by versatile, multi-purpose products, so today I have complied all of my most helpful tips to give you the ultimate travel beauty guide!
{TOP 7 TRAVEL-FRIENDLY MAKEUP ESSENTIALS TO PACK THIS SUMMER}One thing you will never see me doing on vacation is touching up my makeup, so I rely on the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to ensure that my makeup lasts all day and MAC Fix Plus to give my skin a hydrated glow while preventing cakiness. The Urban Decay Naked Flushed Cheek Palette in ‘Streak’ is such a travel-friendly bronzer, blush, and highlighter trio, and works beautifully as eyeshadow. The IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is by far my favorite base for any vacation because it is extremely long-lasting and can be worn as a sheer coverage or built up to a solid full coverage. Since it replaces so many brushes, I am never without my space-saving BeautyBlender. My Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette has every shade I actually use and need, so I always make sure to pack it. The travel-sized Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara never fails to make my lashes look as voluminous as possible, making it a must for photos!
{5 EASY EVERYDAY EYESHADOWS}Many people forego eyeshadow when traveling, but I find that it makes such a significant difference in photos, so some of my favorites are as follows… The CHANEL Cream Eyeshadow in ‘Scintillance’ creates a sophisticated and multi-dimensional pinky champagne eye look with one swipe while shimmery coral and satin brown in the NARS ‘St.-Paul-de-Vence’ Duo Eyeshadow are perfect for defining my hooded eyes. The Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in ‘Not Just Nudes’ are the best for quick and simple makeup looks sans brushes. The ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in ‘Wattles’ is a wearable mauve with a subtle luminosity, ideal for effortless elegance. MAC ‘Soft Brown’ Eyeshadow is the perfect transition shade for the majority of skin tones, making it an essential in my everyday routine.
{MY IN-FLIGHT BEAUTY ESSENTIALS}Traveling definitely takes a toll on my skin, so finding an arsenal of products that help me look and feel healthy is key. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Overnight Mask Pods replenish even the driest of skin while the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater locks in moisture, primes skin, and refreshes makeup. My favorite concealer for on-the-go is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer because it comes in a convenient packaging and I love the MAC Strobe Cream for a natural radiance. The Marcelle Ultimate Volume Nano Mascara is great for a minimal look because the tiny wand separates and lengthens each lash. The Smith’s Rosebud Salve in a Tube is the best for no makeup days because it adds a pretty pink sheen and repairs dry skin.
{MY 5 PRODUCT FACE FOR SUMMER}Nothing is worse than feeling like your entire face is melting off due to the summer heat, so adding coverage only where needed with a buildable concealer is a great option for vacation. To maintain that fresh complexion while still adding depth, I enjoy blending out a cream bronzer followed by a high quality highlighter, both of which can also be used as eyeshadow. After a few coats mascara, I apply a vibrant orangey-coral lipstick , which I also dab into the cheeks and eyes for a monochromatic effect.
{A FRESH SPRING MAKEUP LOOK | PEACHY GLOW}A fresh, peachy glow is always my go-to makeup look for traveling! After applying my Tarte Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen and spot concealing with my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector, I love using the L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer in ‘Medium/Deep Neutral’ to effortlessly bronze and contour my cheekbones. For additional warmth and dimension, I love the Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer and the Milani Baked Blush in ‘Luminoso‘. The Milk Makeup Highlighter in ‘Lit’ is a creamy champagne shade that melts into the skin for a dewy and sunkissed glow. I often bring the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette with me on trips because the variety of finishes and the unique color story are ideal for creating sunset-inspired looks. For my peachy lip combo, I recommend the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Stockholm’ and the Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm in ‘Canteloupe Cream’.
