The
Beauty Book

This 32-page magazine is a guide to my all-time favorite beauty products.

LIKE TO KNOW IT

Patrick Ta Beauty has dominated my makeup collection for several years, and I truly admire the brand and its artistry.

Over the past year, I have had the incredible opportunity to partner with Patrick Ta Beauty as an affiliate, receiving PR samples in exchange for social media content. Though I have no obligation to do so, I wanted to review each of the products I received—and several I purchased myself—on my blog to help anyone who is deciding which products are worth the splurge.

Consider this your definitive guide to Patrick Ta Beauty.

Major Beauty Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo | $36

I never thought I could love a blush as much as I love the Patrick Ta Major Beauty Headlines Double-Take Crème and Powder Blushes. The sheer, glossy cream is intended to layer on top of the silky powder, and it applies so beautifully. ‘She’s So LA’ is a warm bronzy nude, ‘She’s Baked’ is a sun-kissed berry, ‘She’s Blushing’ is a shimmery rosy nude, and ‘She’s A Doll’ is a bright cool pink. I will continue to repurchase these duos because they are not only my all-time favorite product from Patrick Ta but also one of my all-time favorite products in my entire makeup collection.

Major Sculpt Crème Contour & Powder Bronzer Duo | $40

These duos are one of the best formulas I’ve tried. Both the creams and powders are pigmented but not overwhelming, so they’re easy to blend and never look muddy. ‘She’s Sculpted’ contains cooler tones that are great for contouring my medium skin, while the new ‘She’s Bronzed’ shade features warmer tones that I love for bronzing. Both shades complement each other beautifully.

Major Glow Balm | $50

If you’re dry skin never looks dewy enough, this versatile product is worth trying. ‘She’s Glossy’ is a sheer pinky nude that adds life back to my face at the end of my makeup routine. My favorite way to apply it is by gently patting a very small amount onto the high points of my cheeks using a damp beauty sponge. I also love the way it looks on my eyelids, lips and collarbones. Although I love this product, I would not recommend it for anyone with oily skin.

Major Glow Highlighting Mist | $32

‘We Love Her’ is a beautiful rose gold for a shimmery, full glam highlight. I like it as a body highlighter, but for my face, I prefer a more natural look. Unless I wear this underneath my foundation, I find that this sits on top of my skin rather than melting into the rest of my makeup. I love the concept behind this product but unfortunately cannot recommend it, especially since my aerosol can somehow leaked all over my vanity.

Major Glow Dewy Milk Mist | $38

I am absolutely in love with the Dewy Milk Mist. If you’re like me and have dry skin but still want to look luminous, this truly is dewiness in a (beautiful) bottle! At the end of my makeup routine, I spray a small amount onto a damp beauty sponge and then pat it onto my cheeks and under eye area. It doesn’t make my makeup last longer, but the glycerin, rosehip seed oil, and aloe vera leaf extract add a healthy glow that makes all the products on my face look more natural. I can see myself buying another bottle once mine runs out, but this is not intended for oily skin.

Major Brow Defining Pencil | $27

This brow pencil is a great option if you’re looking for precision. It makes drawing hair-like strokes easy. I like that it’s pigmented without needing to press too hard and that it’s long-lasting but not difficult to fix mistakes. I wear ‘Medium Brown.’

Major Brow Shaping Wax | $24

If you love a laminated, fluffy brow look and don’t need a super strong hold, look no further than the Major Brow Shaping Wax. It’s very easy to shape my brows exactly how I want, but the hairs still stay lifted. The tinted version is sheer enough that I don’t need to worry about being too precise but pigmented enough that it prevents the white cast that a lot of similar products have.

Major Brow Lamination Gel | $27

This brow gel provides the most strong, long-lasting hold I’ve ever experienced, but I ultimately returned it because the cons outweigh the pros for me. Even when I remove any base makeup from my brow area and use only a small amount of product, it almost always looks cakey, crusty, and white. I like that the applicator is precise and has a flat edge to press the hairs flat, but because it is so small, it doesn’t comb through my brows as well as a typical spoolie.

Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette | $70

If you love both neutrals and full glam, I cannot recommend the Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette enough. The quality of the shadows is truly one of the best I have ever used. The creams are buttery and buildable, the mattes are silky smooth and blendable, and the metallics are pigmented and creamy. With colors to line the eyes, highlight the inner corners, and everything in between, this palette includes all you’ll ever need. I would definitely purchase it again.

Major Dimension II Rose Eyeshadow Palette | $70

The newest palette has the same high-quality shadows as the original but in a rosy color story. It also has a balance of cool, neutral, and warm undertones that flatters every skin tone, especially deeper skin tones. I am so impressed by the brand’s eye palettes and look forward to creating so many more looks with them.

Monochrome Moment Precision Lip Crayon | $26

With a formula that’s not too stiff or too creamy, this lip liner is long-lasting but also comfortable. The unique angle is a bit of a learning curve at first but provides extra precision for overlining, especially on the cupid’s bow. ‘She’s Proud’ is a neutral-toned pinky beige. It’s my perfect “my-lips-but-better” shade, which makes me want to purchase the other three nude shades in the line.

Major Glow Lip Shine | $26

If you’re looking for a luxurious lip gloss with a refined shimmer, this line is stunning. ‘She’s An Influencer’ is a warm-toned pinky bronze with multi-dimensional shimmer. The high-shine, pearlescent finish creates the illusion of fuller lips without any stickiness.

Major Volume Plumping Lip Gloss | $26

The Major Volume Plumping Lip Gloss quickly became one of my go-to lip products. A combination of pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and peppermint painlessly plumps the lips, while vitamin E and jojoba oil moisturize. The formula is a little sticky, which makes it more long-lasting, and the larger doe-foot applicator applies the ideal amount of product. I own ‘Pouty,’ which is a sheer, milky pink with a slight shimmer. If you’re deciding between the two lip glosses, I personally prefer this formula over the Major Glow Lip Shine.
