Finding a new way to be more inspired and productive is always a good thing, so today I thought I would share five of my favorite apps that can help you do just that! I know many of my readers are also beauty bloggers, so this post is dedicated especially to all of you, but I promise it is also helpful even if you don’t blog.

For those of you whose blogs are supported by WordPress, the WordPress app for both phones and laptops is a must-have for obvious reasons. Although I don’t write posts on my phone unless I have to, it is very convenient to reply to comments on the go. Once I come up with a blog post idea, I always browse my makeup collection to decide which products I plan to write about, so I also love using my iPhone app to easily write down my list.

Besides Pinterest, the primary source of inspiration for my blog is Bloglovin’ — a platform that allows me to read and interact with all of my favorite blogs in one place. Reading other beauty blogs is one of the reasons why I started my own and I love spending time on this app. Whenever I am running low on ideas, I always draw inspiration from the pretty flatlays, innovative titles, and high quality content!

My favorite app for blogging is Evernote! It allows me to stay organized and productive by creating different lists. For example, I always write down my blog post ideas and beauty products I am interested in. I really appreciate that all of my notes automatically sync on all of my devices and the free templates are so useful. I downloaded the monthly calendar one online and it makes the perfect editorial calendar for my schedule.

I recently discovered Snapseed for editing my photos and it is so amazing! I love that the filters are all very practical with names that describe what they do. There are so many different tools so you can achieve a highly customizable final product without paying for photoshop. I think this app is ideal for a very wide audience because you can be as simple or advanced as you want and the photos will always turn out gorgeous. I just wish they made a laptop version too!

One of the most useful apps for beauty bloggers is Canva. It allows me to create personalized and professional-looking graphic designs, perfect for using as my feature images or uploading to Pinterest. It has the prettiest templates for collages, logos, media kits, and even business cards, and I am always so impressed with what I end up creating. I am so happy I found this website and I definitely recommend checking it out!

I hope this little roundup helped you find some useful apps and I would love to know your favorites as well!

XOXO,
Makena
