Besides makeup, of course, traveling is one of things that I am most passionate about in life. Although going on vacation is a positive, life-changing experience, all of those airplane rides can really wreak havoc on my already dry skin, so I am sharing the six beauty products I reach for most often during my flights, just in time for Summer!

Whether it is one hour or twelve hours, an airplane flight is the ideal time for a self-care spa session, which is why the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Overnight Mask Pods* are my number one travel essential. These feel so relaxing and soothing, truly moisturizing and replenishing even the driest of skin. They also have a lightweight consistency that soaks in fairly quickly, so they are much more discreet than sheet masks.

Everyone should have the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater in their collection, especially if you travel often. Not only does it prime bare skin and refresh cakey makeup, but it also hydrates the skin by locking in any previously applied moisturizers.

The one makeup product I cannot live without is concealer and my favorite one for on-the-go is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer*, because it comes in a convenient stick form. It works wonderfully for both blemishes and the under eye area, while the clear gel core prevents dry patches.

The MAC Strobe Cream is a lovely product if you are looking to achieve a natural-looking radiant glow. The sheer, moisturizing cream instantly boosts dull, tired skin by reflecting the light with pearlscent particles. I like that I have the option of applying this only on the highpoints of my face or all over, as well.

It is amazing how much of a difference mascara can make; with only a few swipes, my eyes look more defined and my overall appearance looks much more awake and put together. I have a travel-sized version of the Marcelle Ultimate Volume Nano Mascara, and think it is perfect for a minimal makeup look; the teeny tiny wand does an incredible job at separating each of my eyelashes while adding lots of length.

The Smith’s Rosebud Salve in a Tube is my favorite lip product for no makeup (or no-makeup-makeup) days because it adds a subtle pink tint and a pretty sheen. Any time you go in with a glossy finish, it immediately enhances your eyes and adds life back to your complexion. This little tube is hassle-free and because of its beneficial ingredients, it can also be applied to any irritated or dry areas on the face or body.

What are your in-flight beauty essentials at the moment?

XOXO,
Makena
