LIKE TO KNOW IT

I don’t know what Christmas Eve is like in your family, but in mine, it is just as important as Christmas Day! I thought this Eleventh Day of Christmas would be a wonderful opportunity for all of you to get to know me a little bit better, so I decided to give you a glimpse of how my family and I celebrate the holidays! Let’s jump right into it!

My Christmas Eve Routine

Today, my mom and I woke up early and I helped her decorate a few of her presents for my grandma while listening to fun christmas music. Then we went to the nail salon to get mani pedis so we can have nice nails for the holidays. I got a french manicure and pedicure and I think it looks so elegant and festive. We also went to the grocery store to pick up some last minute items for tomorrow’s dinner including croissants. Yummy!

My Makeup of the Day

Whenever I have a special occasion coming up that I know I’m going to be wearing a ton of makeup for, I never wear any makeup whatsoever the morning before. I started getting ready about two hours before we had to leave for my great-aunts because I always take FOREVER to get ready! For my eyes, I went for a mostly matte, very neutral understated eye with very thin liner and bold lashes. I wanted a bold, festive lip so I mixed together my Rimmel 107, which is a deeper berry red with Rimmel 10, which is a bright cherry red to create the perfect Christmassy look. Let me know if you want a full tutorial on this look and I can get one up for you!

My Christmas Eve Outfit

It’s never a surprise to my family when I show up on special occasions and am the only one wearing 5-inch high heels and a fancy skirt or dress! Tonight, I’m going to wear this stunning black and white dress that I got last year from Macy’s for one of my school dances. As you can see, it has a layered tight black skirt, a flowy white top, and a beaded neckline, which I love! For my shoes, I wore my go-to black patent leather peep-toe Fioni heels from Payless which are super fashionable and comfy!

This is a lovely dress from the brand B Darlin!

Family Traditions

Later, my parents, my grandma, and I all drove to my great aunt and second-cousin’s house to spend Christmas Eve together! Like always, we ate lasagna for dinner and opened some of our presents. Before I go to bed, I always put on my Christmas Pajamas and this year mine are from Target. They’re very adorable with silver christmas trees, foxes, reindeer, stars, and polar bears and are perfect for the holidays. My mom and usually get a new pair of festive pajamas to wear on Christmas morning, while my dad wears the same silly reindeer ones every year. This year, he broke the cycle and bought a new checkered pair, but I still kind of miss the old ones:)

You know I love my beauty blender to death and I’m 99% sure there’s mold on it *cue me running around and searching google for 2 hours*! I got the real techniques one and it’s just so not the same, beauty blender is so worth the money but a fair warning to dry it on a paper towel instead of in the little container or lie it on the container kind of diagonally so air gets inside the container while it dries. I know you’re supposed to replace them every few months but I feel like some people have them for eons! I’m being a total creeper on this but this was as recent as I could find that you wrote about your beauty blender! Good luck haha xo

  2. Thanks so much for the advice and always being so sweet and commenting! I love my beauty blender and also agree that it’s worth the money from the other “dupes” I’ve tried that ripped in half or were as hard as a rock, lol! However, I have heard Jaclyn Hill say that she loves the Real Techniques one, so I was going to try it later, but I’ll keep that in mind. What didn’t you like about it? I’ve been very curious about that dupe since I love everything else from RT. xoxo
