I have extensive experience doing my own makeup, but because I am not a professional makeup artist, I do not have the opportunity to do other people’s makeup as much as I would like. However, I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone by practicing different techniques and there is absolutely nothing more amazing than empowering others through the art of makeup! My thirteen-year-old cousin Madison inherited my passion for all things glamorous so I created this gorgeous soft and natural makeup look on her. Show her some love in the comments!

{FACE}

Like me, Madison has dry, sensitive skin and wanted a glowy, neutral, and teen-friendly look. To prime her skin, I patted on the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in ‘Opal’ mixed with my favorite moisturizer. She has very fair skin but wanted a little more warmth, so I added my favorite Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base to her cheekbones, temples, and jawline; this simultaneously adds dimension and color but because it is not sitting on top of the base products, it looks much more wearable. Instead of applying foundation, I opted for the Garnier SkinActive Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oily/Combo Skin in ‘Light/Medium’, which I combined with the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum for additional hydration. I first used a stippling brush followed by my BeautyBlender. To perfect this light yet buildable coverage, I highlighted her under eye area, chin, and forehead with my trusty Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in ‘Ivory’. To set everything, I pressed on the Rimmel Transparent Stay Matte Powder mixed with the Hard Candy Baked Highlighter in ‘Tiki’ using a damp beauty sponge. After I finished the entire look, I spritzed her face with Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray.

{CHEEKS}

I really love the way creams work on Maddie’s skin so for a baby pink flush I popped on the NYX Rouge Cream Blush in ‘Natural’. For a fair-skin-friendly bronzer and contour, I used the shade from the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in ‘Streak’. She wanted to go for a more peach color scheme instead of the earlier pink so I added a touch of none other than the Milani Baked Blush in ‘Luminoso’. For a pop of highlight on her cheekbones, nose, cupid’s bow, brow bone, and inner corner, I used ‘Rivage,’ a light golden vanilla shade from my holy grail NARS’ Banc de Sable Highlighter Palette (similar here).

{EYES}

For a warm, peachy eye look, Madison picked the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette. I set her eyelids with ‘White Peach’ and ‘Peaches ‘N Cream’ before using ‘Georgia’, a matte pinky beige, as a transition shade. I defined the crease and lower lash line with ‘Charmed, I’m Sure’ and ‘Summer Yum’ a cool and warm brown respectively. For a metallic gilded peach, I layered ‘Bellini’ with the L’oréal Infallible Paints Eyeshadow Metallics in ‘Rose Chrome’ and then added a little depth to the outer corner with ‘Cobbler’, a pinky bronze. She already used her tinted brow gel, so I didn’t do anything to her brows. Then, for clump-free length and curl, I went in with a coat of the Benefit Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara.

{LIPS}

To complete this look, I used the Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick in ‘Doll Face’ and then the Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss in ‘ 202 Sweet Pink’ for a light peachy sheen.

Madison was so happy with how this look turned out and I could tell how confident she felt. Her parents both loved it, which is a plus, so if you are trying to achieve a natural looking, pretty makeup look for younger clients, I hope you found this helpful. Let me know if you like seeing me do makeup on other people and if you want me to do any specific type of look. Thanks so much for reading!
