Summer is the perfect time to pull out those beautiful bronze shades for both your skin and your eyes, so today, that is what I will be helping you do! This makeup look involves natural skin, glowy and bronzed cheeks, and a unique wash of metallic color on the lids! Are you excited, because I am?

EYES

Easy and Quick Bronze Eyes

Unlike previous makeup looks I have done in the past with a light shimmery all-over lid shade and darker matte shades in the crease and outer corner, today’s eye look is practically all shimmery and is darker than I would normally do, but still equally wearable and pretty. First, I am going to take the Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather 24Hr Eye Shadow in “Creamy Beige” which is a neutral tan cream eyeshadow (anything will work, really) and blend this into and above my crease and then buff a tiny bit all over my lid so that the loose pigment has something to stick to. The main product that inspired this entire makeup tutorial is the Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Loose Powder Shadow in “Improper Copper” which is the most beautiful  bronzey shade with copper shimmer! It is incredibly pigmented and lasts the entire day without fail. I am going to use a flat eyeshadow brush to pack on this color all over the eyelid from inner to outer corner, but we are going to be careful and make sure that we do not bring it over the crease because that is when it can start to look like we got punched in the eye.

After blending out all the harsh lines, we are going to take the two shades on the right (one is a shimmery copper shade and the other is a shimmery peachy bronze color) of the Wet n Wild Bronzer we will be using later and brushing that on the upper crease and outer corner so it is blown out without losing that gorgeous shimmery bronze look! That is it for the eyeshadow, it is super easy, but looks so amazing for summer. I curled my lashes and applied a few coats of the L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Waterproof Mascara and actually applied the Rimmel London ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in “Nude” on my lower lash line to balance out the dark lids, but you can also do a smokier black liner on the upper lashine or even a purple!

FACE

Since it is summer, I want to keep my skin very natural so I am going to skip foundation and go straight in with concealer. If you want, you can of course wear foundation or a BB cream like the one from Garnier. Today, I am using my favorite Maybelline Fit Me Concealer  to conceal the redness I have on my cheeks and then with a lighter color, I am going to highlight and conceal under my eyes and the center parts of my face. Since cream products need to go on before powder ones, I am going to stipple on the Revlon “Pinched” Cream Blush, a creamy and luminous peach shade, on the apples of my cheeks and all the way onto my temples. I am going to lightly set my concealer and the rest of my face with the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Translucent Powder so that everything will stay put in the heat and my bronzer will blend flawlessly.

As you can tell, this look is perfect for summer because it’s mainly based around the stunning bronzer which is paired with a beautiful and glowy blush and highlight!

You can always use a matte bronzer if you prefer, but I wanted to use the same Wet n Wild MegaGlo Illuminating Powder in “Starlight Bronze”  that I used  as eyeshadow just above the hollows of my cheeks and on my temples near the hairline because it is perfect for a glowy bronze makeup look without being to shimmery. I am going to pop on another glowy pinky peach blush, the ELF “St. Lucia” Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder Duo, to give even more of a glowy look. I tried to use the lightest shade from my Wet n’ Wild bronzer as a highlighter, but it did not work very well, so I opted for the Hard Candy “Tiki” Highlighter and then gave my entire face a refreshing spritz of the ELF Makeup Mist and Set in order to make my makeup last longer for summer and to make the bronzer, blush, and highlight glow even more!

LIPS

Lastly, for the lips I am going to apply the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Stockholm”, a lovely peachy tan color and then dab on the L’Oreal “Caring Coral” Colour Riche Lip Balm for a more luminous wash of coral.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Balm in “Caring Coral” and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Stockholm” are very wearable with this look, but still have a fun wash of color for summer!

The final result of these steps is healthy and natural skin, glowy bronzed cheeks, shimmery bronze eye shadow, and summery lip colors. Please rate and like this post if you would like to see more makeup looks with only drugstore products and I hope you enjoyed this more unique look for summer! Let me know if you end up trying it yourself!
