Hello, everyone! Once again, I’m sorry I haven’t posted in such a long time, but I hope that this special post makes up for it! As my title says, I will be showing you how to do a fall smokey eye that is perfect for Thanksgiving! I used very warm red-toned brown shadows that feel very cozy! It will suit all skin tones, make every eye color pop, and can be adjusted to make it more natural or dramatic for daytime or nightime. Hope you enjoy it and let me know if you end up trying it for yourself!

First, I primed my eyes using the original Urban Decay Primer Potion, but any primer will work. Then, I used the “eyelid” shade from the Wet n Wild “Walking on Eggshells” Eyeshadow Trio and mixed it with the “eyelid” shade on the right side of the Wet n Wild “Cofort Zone” Eyeshadow Palette. These are both beautiful shimmery pinkish nude colors that are very similar to MAC’s “Naked Lunch” and “All That Glitters”.

Next, I blended MAC “Soft Brown” into my crease using a fluffy brush. This will help make everything look more seamless and amazing!

Then, I use a smaller brush to apply the “crease” shade from “Walking on Eggshells” (a shimmery golden brown) to the crease of my eyelid.

To get the orangey-brown Thanksgiving look that I’m going for, I mixed the two shades on the right from the photo below and applied them into my outer V. Then, I mixed the middle shade from the photo below with a tiny bit of the far right shade and put those into the outer lower part of my eyelid with a more precise brush. I will also put this onto my lower lash line once I’m completely done with liner and mascara.

Now that I’m done with the eyeshadow look, once again I’m going to apply “Soft Brown” in my crease in order to blend everything out perfectly. Like always, I’m going to use the black Almay Liquid Liner to create a very thin line. To soften the liner out, I used an angled eyeliner/eyebrow brush with the dark brown shade from the Claire’s palette and blended it over the liner to get rid of the harsh line. Now, all you have to do is your lashes, and you’re good to go!

In case you’re wondering, what I used for my bronzer, blush, and highlighter, I used my favorite BareMinerals Warmth All Over Face Color, the deep plum shade called “Embellish” from the Tarte Holiday Blush Set I reviewed earlier, and the Hard Candy “Tiki” highlighter. For lips, you can pretty much do anything you want! If you’re looking for something dramatic, a deep berry shade would look beautiful, but if you want a more natural look, you can use a nude or a more muave lipstick! This eye look really does go great with everything!

Here’s a photo of the finished look! Wish you could see it in person, it looks so much more beautiful!

P.S: ALL of the photos, on the post are my own. I took them with a Canon camera! Hope you liked them!
XOXO,
Makena
