LIKE TO KNOW IT

Last Monday, I started my last first day of school — and organized a DIY photo shoot to commemorate the occasion! I typically only share beauty content on my blog, but I wanted to take this opportunity to share not only a recent makeup look but also a few facts about myself. For those of you who don’t know, I am a senior English Writing and Rhetoric major and Journalism minor at Pepperdine University.

This semester will be entirely online, which is, of course, disappointing. However, I now have the opportunity to spend more time with my family, as I moved into an apartment within walking distance from home. If you’re interested in home decor, be sure to check out my Instagram.

This fall, I am in four classes, including three major classes and one GE: Literary Theory, Rhetoric and Theory, Modern British Literature, and Intercultural Communication.

I am also in a sorority, I am a teaching assistant for the introductory journalism class, and I started a remote internship at Pepperdine’s library, where I am updating archived issues of the newspaper so people can trace issues of social justice throughout the University’s history.

One of the most exciting aspects of this semester is my new role with Pepperdine Graphic Media. Last semester, I served as editior-in-chief of Currents magazine, creating an issue dedicated to feminism, and this semster, I am managing editor of The Graphic newspaper; I am responsible for editing all of the content in the paper and overseeing our largest staff to date. Working for the student publication has been my favorite aspect of college, and I can’t wait to see what the semester brings!

I know this will be my busiest semester yet, but I am so excited and passionate about everything I am involved in. I feel so grateful to attend a univeristy I love.

I wore a soft, glamorous makeup look to celebrate my last first day of school; Zoom tends to wash me out, so I opted for a glowing yet full coverage base with pink and bronze tones on my cheeks and eyes. I incorporated so many of my all-time favorite products, and I love how it turned out. I also wore this adorable white denim jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters that is currently on sale.

L’Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer in ‘Medium’
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation in ‘Vanuata’
Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Undereye Concealer in ’20S Light Sand’
Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base
Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in ‘Translucent Extra Coverage’
Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in ‘Deep Bronzer’
Milani Baked Blush in ‘Petal Primavera’
Anastasia Beverly Hills Custom Eyeshadow Palette with ‘Glisten,’ ‘Rosé,’ ‘Birkin,’ and ‘Truffle’
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in ‘Blackest Black’
Milani Color Statement Lip Liner in ‘Spice’
Smashbox Always On Longwear Matte Liquid Lipstick in ‘Fair Game’
Milani Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper in ‘Natural Luster Nude Shimmer’

Thanks for spending this time with me, and please let me know if you would like more college-related content!
