HighendMakeupDupes2

As someone who loves both luxury and drugstore makeup, it is only natural that over the past few months I would discover — either intentionally or accidentally — products that are similar in color and quality. Here are dupes of four of my favorite high-end beauty products.

UrbanDecayNakedFlushedStreakDupe

Left to Right: Urban Decay bronzer, Covergirl bronzer, Urban Decay blush, Covergirl blush, Urban Decay highlighter, Covergirl highlighter

For years, I have used and loved the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in ‘Streak’ ($34), as it has the most flattering trio of shades and makes doing my makeup considerably more convenient. I was so excited when I discovered the Covergirl Peach Punch Highlighter Palette ($10) because it allows me to achieve similarly sculpted cheeks at less than one-third of the price. Even though I prefer the Urban Decay palette because it appears more natural on the skin, the Covergirl palette is actually more pigmented and more long-lasting, and the colors are better suited for deeper skin tones.

TooFacedSweetPeachPaletteLOrealDupe

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette ($49) is one of my favorite palettes: It has the most beautiful, balanced assortment of shades and finishes, and the formula is perfection. The L’oréal Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette ($15) is a lovely dupe with obvious similarities. The more affordable alternative has fewer shades and a more dusty formula, but it is still easy to use and creates looks that are just as pretty.

MACHoneyloveLipstickDupe

Left to Right: MAC ‘Honeylove,’ L’Oreal ‘Fairest Nude’

In my mind, you can never go wrong with a MAC lipstick; they are creamy, pigmented, and long-wearing, and the MAC Matte Lipstick in ‘Honeylove’ ($18.50) is no exception. The L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in ‘Fairest Nude’ ($6) features an almost identical light beige, and although the finish is more satin, the quality is still amazing.

UrbanDecayAllNighterSettingSprayDupeLoreal

The Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($42) is a cult favorite guaranteed to make any makeup look last practically forever. The L’oréal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray ($12) offers the same lasting power and, like the Urban Decay product, does not alter the finish of your look. The actual mists are also comparable.

I hope these four finds help you save money without sacrificing beauty or quality. Let me know which dupe is your favorite and if you have other products you would like me to dupe or know of any dupes yourself.
