With all of the uncertainty in the world right now, it is comforting to know that some things never change: Even the coronavirus could not stop the Sephora Spring Sale. Although there are far more important things than makeup to worry about right now, I enjoyed having something positive to look forward to, so here are my thoughts on the products I ended up purchasing.
The first product I added to my cart was the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask ($25), which I have used and loved for several years. It is a lightweight yet effective gel moisturizer compatible with all skin types. I love applying it at the very end of my nighttime skincare routine to help all of my other hydrating products soak in. Now is the perfect time to spend time on self-care and face masks, so I will be getting a lot of use out of this.
One of my most favorite purchases this Spring is the new Natasha Denona Mini Retro Eyeshadow Palette ($25). The second I saw it on Instagram, I fell in love with its unique ’60s-inspired color story, which stands out in my collection; the grey, olive green shades make my eyes pop, and the rose golds are right up my alley. I actually bought this a few days before the sale because I forgot about it and got overly excited, but I love it so much I don’t even mind. This is my first purchase from Natasha Denona, and her eyeshadow formula is beyond beautiful. I think this price is really great, and I highly recommend this if you’ve been eyeing it.
I like to keep my eyebrows quick and easy, which is why I only use one product: the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo ($23). I have used the shade ‘Dark Brown’ every day for years and never hit pan, but I had to purchase another one because I dropped mine. I have tried using drugstore powders or other eyeshadows, and even though this is simple, it is the most convenient, and I love the packaging.
Considering how much I love my Water Sleeping Mask and my Lip Glowy Balm, I decided to finally try the famous Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($20) in ‘Vanilla.’ I have seen so many positive reviews of this and have almost purchased it so many times, so I am happy I finally get to use it every morning and every night. It is creamy and glossy and makes my lips so soft — basically a fancy version of Aquaphor!
Another product I repurchased during the sale is the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper ($29), which is a clear gloss excellent for plumping and smoothing the lips. It definitely tingles, and even though I’m not 100% sure if it actually makes my lips bigger, I still enjoy popping it on before going in with my other lip products. If you want to try this out but don’t want to spend too much money, the mini version is great too.
A long time ago, I received a free travel-sized version of the Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick ($24), and although the shade was not my favorite, I fell in love with the formula. With a couple exceptions, I have never enjoyed wearing liquid lipsticks, but these are unbelievably amazing. The formula is not drying or cakey, the applicator is precise, and it lasts literally forever, even when eating and drinking. I chose the shade ‘Fair Game,’ a light, warm nude, and it is great for layering under lipsticks and glosses with any look.
I have always loved the idea of having a signature scent, and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb ($55) is one of my favorites. Fragrances — even ones like this 0.68 ounce bottle — are always pricey, so the sale is a great time to purchase them. I like this size because the bottle is large enough to display on my vanity but small enough to travel with. Flowerbomb is sweet, warm, and spicy with notes of jasmine, vanilla, orange blossom, and patchouli. It’s sexy and feminine while still being sophisticated and mature, and I love it.
As always, let me know if you would like me to write more detailed reviews of any of these products, and I’d love to hear whether you purchased anything during the sale. I hope you are all doing well and staying safe.

I’m so jealous that you were able to pick up the Mini Retro Palette from ND during the sale – by the time I placed my order it was already out of stock!! I did get my hands on the Mini Glam Palette though!
I actually forgot about the sale and ordered it a few days before I placed my next order haha. If it’s in your budget and you ike the shades, I highly recommend getting it once it’s back in stock. Thanks for reading!
