My favorite perfume for summer nights is Lolita Lempika’s “Sweet”. I also enjoy using the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel cream bronzer and of course I finish off the look with the same coral blush that I used on my eyes!
Hello, everyone! I’ve gotten a couple of requests for a summer makeup tutorial, so I thought now would be the perfect time to share one of my favorite and most unique eye makeup looks with all of you before the summer ends. I’ve worn this look many times throughout the summer including to a wedding, a fancy dinner overlooking a beautiful sunset, and several other special occasions. I’ve never seen any other makeup looks on YouTube quite like this one, so I hope you appreciate and enjoy it!
First, I am going to apply an eyeshadow primer all over my lid to help everything last all night and to prevent any creasing. For this, I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but any primer will work just fine.
Next I am going to use the “Cashmere Bunny” eyeshadow from the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. This is just a neutral matte beige transition color to help everything else blend better, so it works best when applied with a big fluffy brush in the crease and outer corner. It does not have to be neat because you won’t really be able to see it the end, although it will make a big difference.
I am using a more dense brush to apply the bottom shade from Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio.
Then I am going to take a more dense brush and press the Wet n’ Wild eyelid color from the Walking on Eggshells trio all over my lid. Any light shimmery nude pink shade such as Urban Decay “Sin”or Mac “Naked Lunch” will work, too. This is going to open up your eyes and make them look bigger.
Since I have more tan skin, I felt that the previous color alone was a bit too pale for me, so I went in with the “Push Up” shade from the same Too Faced palette and applied it to the outer half of my lid, lightly blending it in with the other shade. “Push Up” is a beautiful bronzey taupe shade with pink undertones that looks amazing with every single look.
Because this look is called “Summer Nights”, I want to darken it up a bit, so I’m going to take Too Faced’s “Erotica” and put it on the outer third of my eye. Then, I’m going to use a little “Sexpresso”, which is a matte dark brown and lightly blend it on the outer V. Next, we’re just going to gently blend this in gentle circular motions upwards and outwards. These three steps are completely optional, but really make it more smokey and dramatic. If you want a daytime or more natural look you can feel free to skip them. Personally, after I’ve darkened everything up, I like to go back with the Wet n’ Wild shade on the inner corner and then with “Push Up” in the center to make it a little less dark, but that’s just me.
Although it may seem scary, using blush as eyeshadow in your crease looks really pretty.
I promised you that this look would be different from other looks, so my favorite part is coming up next. I am gong to use the Maybelline Face Studio Master Hi-Light Blush in “Coral”. It has a combination of matte and shimmery peach, coral, and champagne shades, so you can pick which one to use based on your skin tone. I am going to use the matte coral shade mixed with a hint of the shimmery peach shade and apply it into my crease with a more precise crease brush. I like to start with a small amount of product and then build it up to my desired effect. Then, I take my fluffy blending blush and gently swipe it in windshield wiper motions to get rid of any harsh lines.
If you want, you can do eyeliner. Personally, I would recommend doing a very thin black line without a dramatic wing using something like the Almay Liquid Eyeliner. You can also tightline the upper lid with a black kohl liner such as the Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Eyeliner.
Then, finish off the look with your favorite mascara. I used one coat of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara followed by a coat of Benefit They’re Real.
I really love this look because you can make it really natural and fresh for the daytime, or more dramatic and sunset-inspired for those beautiful warm summer nights. I hope you enjoyed my Summer Nights Eye Makeup look and please let me know if you want to see more posts like this in the future!
