Today, I will be sharing my go-to eye makeup look with all of you. It is perfect for when you are in a rush, want to look put-together with minimal effort, or cannot decide which type of makeup to wear! This a look that takes less than 5 minutes, but appears as if it took much longer because of how timeless, versatile, and polished it looks! It is subtle enough for school, but also dramatic enough for a formal night out. Whenever I wear this, I always get compliments.First, I apply an eyeshadow primer. For this, I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but any primer will work just fine.
Next, I am going to use my all-time favorite eyeshadow, which is the L’Oreal infallible 24-Hour Eyeshadow in “Amber Rush”, a stunning metallic rose gold. I simply press this shade all over my eyelid, making sure to not go above my crease. The only downside to this shadow is that it can have some fallout, so I would recommend doing this before you apply your foundation or other face makeup. Taking a fluffy eyeshadow brush, I am going to blend out the edges of that shadow so there are no harsh lines.
The other eyeshadow that will be featured in this look is MAC “Twinks”, which is a deep plum color with a veluxe pearl finish, which I also really love. With a more precise crease brush, I am going to blend this shade into my crease and the outer edge of my eye to create a more gradient effect. You can make this however subtle or dramatic you want depending on the kind of look that you’re going for.
Lastly, I am going to curl my lashes and apply one coat of L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara followed by one coat of L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara.
Now, my eye makeup is complete! I really love this look and think it is appropriate for every age, occasion, and eye color! This is my very first makeup ‘tutorial’, so please like this post if you want to see more of these. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
XOXO,
Makena
