Because I love makeup so much, I like to wear makeup to school. I realize that not everyone wants to wear makeup to school everyday and I respect that, but if you’re interested in my natural makeup look for school, then keep on reading!

The first thing I do is wash, moisturize, and prime my face. Lately, I have been really enjoying the L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation. Since this foundation is water-based, it feels amazingly light and dewy on my dry skin, but still gives a light-medium coverage!

I’ve been using Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer under my eyes as a highlight and I also dab a tiny bit on my eyelids as an quick and easy primer. While I wait for my face makeup to set, I do my eyes. I try to wear minimal eye makeup for school and lately I have really enjoyed using the bottom “eyelid” shade from the Wet n’ Wild “Walking on Eggshells” Eyeshadow Trio all over my lid. This is a really pretty shimmery pinky nude color that is very similar to Mac “Naked Lunch” and Urban Decay “Sin”. Then, I put Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow in “Cappuccino” in my crease. This is a really nice matte light brown shade, which makes an amazing transition color! If I want something even more simple, I will just take a bronzer on a fluffy brush and blend it into my crease for subtle definition. Then I curl my lashes and apply one coat of L’Oreal Telescopic mascara and one coat of L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara.

Next, I sweep a tiny bit of bronzer underneath my cheebones and then apply a very natural looking blush to the apples of my cheeks. The most common blush I use is Milani “Luminoso”, but I also like the ELF Blush and Bronzer duo in “St. Lucia”, N.Y.C. “Sunny” bronzer, and N.Y.C. “Fire Island Tan” bronzer. Lastly, I do my lips! I am always changing up my lip products, but I usually go for an easy-to-apply one such as a peachy pink lip gloss or a natural-looking lipstick.

I know that some of you may be thinking that this is too much makeup to wear to school, but I think it looks really natural and  appropriate. I do not wear makeup to impress anyone. I wear it because I enjoy the whole process of applying it and love the way it makes me feel. I hope you enjoyed this post and please give me some requests or ideas for future posts!

XOXO,
Makena
