Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all having a great week! This post is a little different from usual ones, as I will not be talking directly about makeup. Insstead, I will be showing all of you how I organize my beauty products in my bathroom medicine cabinet.
So, this is my amazing medicine cabinet! For years, I never even opened this thing because I just kept a bunch of messy stuff that I never used, but I recently gave it a makeover. Now, it is completely functional, not to mention gorgeous, and I use it every single day!
On the inside of the mirror, I added a Marilyn Monroe collage that I made as well as purple cardstock to cover up some dirty spots. I also added lots of sticky notes, which I wrote inspirational messages on. Some of my favorites are: “You are beautiful!”, “Keep smiling because life is a beaitiful thing and there is so much to smile about”, “Be happy, be confident, and love yourself”, “I am braver than I believe, stronger than I seem, smarter than I think, and twice as beautiful as I could ever imagine”, “Happy girls are the prettiest girl”, “Beneath the makeup and behind the smile, I am just a girl who wishes for the world”, and lyrics to Dolly Parton’s amazing song “Try”!
Next comes my actual medicine cabinet, which I lovingly decked out in Washi Tape. I used the Scotch Expressions Washi Tape in the Quatrefoil Sunset design from Staples. These are all beauty products that I use on a daily basis, so I hope you enjoy reading!
On the top shelf, I have hair-related products. I have a little heart-shaped box filled with hair ties, bobby pins, and cute clips. I also have a pair of Tweezerman tweezers, a travel-sized bottle of hairspray, and my CHI Silk Infusion, which is absolutely amazing at de-frizzing my locks!
Now comes my favorite shelf, where I keep all of my fragrances and things like that. I have my Bath & Body Works Sweet Summer Kiss lotion, my Victoria’s Secret Love Speell Fragrance in “Cherry Blossom & Peach”, my Bath & Body Works mini fragrance mists in “Maui: Hibiscus Beach” and “Hawaii: Passionfruit Kiss”. I also have my Bodycology Pretty in Paris hand cream along with my favorite Secret Clear Gel Deodorant in Paris Romantic Rose.
On the very bottom shelf, I keep a clear, heart-shaped container fillwed with Q-tips that I use to perfect my eyeliner or fix mascara smears. Sometimes, before I go to bed or take a shower, I am too lazy to put my jewelry where it belongs and end up tossing it on my bathroom counter. However, I noticed that whenever I did that, I always lost something, so now I use this little coral container, to keep my random jewelry in. This is a really simple thing to do, but makes a huge difference, so I would completely recoomend this idea to all of you! My C.O. Bigellow Rose Salve that I use all the time to keep my lips hydrated has now found a permantent home in there, too!
I hope you enjoyed learning about my bathroom beauty organization and I hope I gave you some new ideas that you can incorporate into your everyday routine!
XOXO,
Makena
