People like Jaclyn Hill, Kathleen Lights, and Tati Westbrook are called influencers for a reason; their opinions — whether shared on a quick Instagram story, an in-depth product review, or a glittery, warm-toned makeup tutorial — often compel makeup lovers like me to invest in that overpriced bronzer or hyped up blush. Today, I am sharing ten beauty products that I discovered and ultimately purchased solely due to a YouTuber’s recommendation. Spoiler alert: I love them all!

The first product I am mentioning in today’s post is one that I never would have even considered purchasing if it weren’t for one of my most trusted beauty gurus, Tati Westbrook. She has raved about the Wet N Wild PhotoFocus Liquid Foundation in many of her videos and even though I was hesitant about trying more a matte, full coverage foundation from the drugstore due to my sensitive skin, I had to see what the hype was all about. Although I think this is best for less dry skin types, this does provide seamless coverage.

I recently discovered Hindash’s channel and have been mesmerized by his glamorous and elegant makeup looks, all of which feature glowing, flawless skin. While talking about his top nine foundations he mentioned the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation, saying it looks incredibly natural, works well with dry skin, and photographs beautifully. I then remembered that Jaclyn Hill used to use this in all of her older tutorials, so I purchased it during the Sephora VIB Sale. I am blown away at how it maintains a full coverage but is undetectable on the skin.

The Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base is so well-known within the beauty community and as far as I am concerned it is all because of Jaclyn Hill. She has had nothing but positive things to say about this cream bronzer and after hearing her talk about how much she loved it so many times, I eventually summoned the courage (and money) to purchase it myself. It is completely worth the money, as I have used it for several years now and think it unlike anything else when it comes to achieving a sunkissed color on the cheeks and temples.

The one and only Kathleen Lights introduced me to the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer and I am truly grateful that she did because it has been a game changer in my everyday makeup routine. Even though it is a little pricey compared to most drugstore bronzers — yes, I know I really should not be using the word pricey to describe this after the product I just mentioned — it performs like a high-end powder, leaving my skin perfectly sculpted, bronzed, and blended. And she’s right — it does smell like delicious piña coladas.

Are you even a true beauty guru if you have never shared your love for the famous Milani Baked Blush in ‘Luminoso’? I’m not sure who first inspired me to run to CVS and pick this blush up (it was probably Jaclyn Hill; she is mentioned a lot in this post) but I am thankful for whoever it was because years later I still use and love this product all the time. It is the perfect warm peachy shade and even though I don’t usually like blushes this shimmery, it has the prettiest glow.

Another best-selling drugstore cheek product, the Wet N Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder was definitely something I purchased based off of a YouTuber’s recommendation. Kathleen Lights also really loves these highlighters and for a few dollars, I figured I could not go wrong. I have the shade ‘Precious Petals’, a pinky champagne shade perfect for tan skin.

As you can tell from this post, Jaclyn Hill is my all-time favorite YouTuber; she helped inspire my passion for makeup and taught me most of what I know. As soon as she launched the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette I purchased it and reviewed it on my blog. Even though it was neutral, it filled a lot of gaps in my collection and quickly became one of my most used palettes. Plus, I knew the quality would be amazing because it is Tati approved.

I know this is getting repetitive so I promise this is the last time I will be mentioning her but Jaclyn also influenced me to buy the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. This is the best liner I have used and find that it makes doing a more thin, subtle wing so easy. These little pots last forever but I have finally hit pan on mine so I will be repurchasing this soon.

Unfortunately, I do not remember which YouTuber convinced me to invest in my first high-end mascara but she definitely knew what she was talking about. I love so many drugstore formulas, but the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is truly the best mascara I have ever used. It makes my lashes as long and voluminous as can be.

Last but certainly not least, the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray continues to find its way into my shopping cart, especially due to Tati’s amazing and informational product reviews. If she trusts this to make her makeup masterpieces last all day and all night, then so can I.

How many of these cult beauty products do you own? I’d love to hear which makeup items you have purchased because of your favorite YouTubers.
