This 32-page magazine is a guide to my all-time favorite beauty products.

Although the goal of my blog is to empower women through makeup, I tend to stay away from bold or bright colors. After several requests to incorporate more colorful looks on my blog, I created this cranberry halo eye while making it as wearable as possible.

There are so many incredible foundations at the drugstore so it is always hard for me to pick just one to wear; for fuller coverage with a satin finish, I applied the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation combined with the Garnier SkinActive Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream onto moisturized skin. After color correcting and highlighting with my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, I set my face by pressing a combination of the Rimmel Stay Matte Transparent Pressed Powder and the Hard Candy Baked Highlighter in ‘Tiki’ onto my skin using a damp beauty sponge. Rather than having shimmer, this highlighter has a lovely sheen that combats oil without looking too flat. After doing a quick all-over bronze with the Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in ‘St. Lucia’ , I skipped blush and used that same Hard Candy highlighter to emphasize my cheekbones, nose, and cupid’s bow.

For my eyes, I incorporated a bold yet wearable burgundy color with the Profusion Cosmetics Eye Shadow Makeup Case in ‘Merlot Eyes’, which one of my friends was kind enough to give me. I have actually never heard of this brand before but it can be purchased at Target, and their palettes have stunning color stories. Although the quality was not the absolute best, they blended easily and were very pigmented. I made sure to do a rounded shape, focusing the deep shades on both the inner and outer corners. For a pop of metallic copper in the very center of the lid, I patted on the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in ‘Weenie’ with my ring before. I finished off the eye look with a coat or two of my L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara followed by the Ardell Natural No. 172 False Eyelashes. I never ever wear falsies but I thought I would try them out for the first time and these look amazing if you want a more natural option. I love the way they look but I find that the inner corner always pops off, which is annoying.

For my lips, I wanted a more neutral beige color that did not distract from my bolder eye color. I used the Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in ’17 Cool Brown’ with a touch of the Maybelline Color Whisper Lip Color in ‘Mocha Muse’ in the center for added fullness and shine.

One unique aspect of my blog is that I strive to create more “natural” and wearable makeup looks for everyday girls (and boys) but if you would like me to venture outside of my comfort zone and include a little bit more color, please let me know. Thanks so much for your support!
