For my eleventh annual Best of Beauty post, I am sharing my most used and loved products of 2024.
I never imagined I would one day purchase, let alone recommend, a $92 beauty product, but the Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair has truly improved my skin. Formulated with indigo extract, ceramides and mondo grass root, this moisturizer reduces my redness and strengthens my skin barrier. Described as a serum-in-cream formula, it has the most unique consistency that deeply hydrates my dry skin without causing breakouts.
As my acne improves and my good skin days become more frequent, I find myself reaching for the Chanel Les Beige Water-Fresh Tint in Medium Plus. The formula contains 75% water along with hydrating ingredients like tamarind seed extract that, when mixed with the droplets of pigment, create a sheer, dewy skin tint. If you have dry skin and are looking for a no-makeup makeup, my-skin-but-better look, then this is for you.
My only regret with the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation is that I didn’t try it sooner! The formula is lightweight and provides buildable, medium coverage with a natural finish. It wears beautifully throughout the day, and I love that the ingredients don’t clog my pores. I wear the shade 230 Light Medium Cool.
I have used the Rare Beauty Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick almost every time I have applied makeup since I purchased it one year ago. The buttery, pigmented formula is easy to blend, regardless of what base products are underneath. I love the shade Good Energy because the cool undertones are perfect for contouring my cheekbones and jawline.
I have never heard anyone talk about the Sephora Collection Colorful Powder Luminizers, but the 03 Pink Flash shade is absolutely magical. It’s a cool-toned iridescent pink that I use as a blush topper to add dimension and glow to my cheeks. The formula is much more smooth than most powder highlighters so it doesn’t emphasize texture.
I think the Rare Beauty Brow Harmony Lifting Gel might just be the best brow gel ever created. If you’re struggling to find a product that keeps your brows lifted and laminated all day and night without feeling crunchy or leaving a white residue, look no further. I do wish the tube contained more product, but the price is very reasonable.
The L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara has been my go-to mascara since it launched several years ago, but the Latte Brown shade is now my latest obsession. It’s a true, warm-toned brown that looks a lot softer and more natural than black. I reach for this shade when I’m wearing a more liht, everyday makeup look.
The Make Up For Ever Artist Color Lip Liner, especially the Anywhere Caffeine shade, has earned a top spot in my vast collection of lip liners this past year. It’s great for overlining my lips because it sharpens so well, and it lasts so long without being drying. I adore the neutral-toned brown shade for my everyday glam.
The true embodiment of luxury, the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm is a staple in so many of my most loved neutral lip combos. Described as a lip gloss and lip balm in one, it offers moisture and shine without any stickiness. I have the shade Rise, a buildable, cool-toned beige.
I could not share my 2024 beauty favorites without mentioning the Morphe X Ariel Signature Look 12-Piece Face & Eye Brush Set. The tools you use to apply your makeup are just as important, if not more important, than the makeup products themselves, and after using these brushes for more than a year, I can confidently recommend them to you. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing and affordable, they are so high quality and make a big difference in how my looks turn out.
Happy holidays, and thank you for bonding over beauty products with me!
