I am thrilled to share my top ten most used and loved beauty products of 2022. These are the best of the best and the products I can without a doubt recommend to you.
I’ve tried a lot of new skincare products this year, but the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 was a standout. It’s an ultra rich, hydrating cream that is perfect for dry, sensitive skin. It really heals my skin barrier while creating that glass skin effect.
Skin tints had a moment this year, and my top pick was the L’Oréal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum. It’s lightweight but buildable with a skin-like finish. It looks and feels so luxurious that it’s hard to beleive it’s not more expensive! I wear ‘4-5 Medium’.
Whether I’m opting for a natural look or going for full glam, I can always count on the Nars Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Foundation to look beautiful. It’s lightweight and has medium, buildable coverage with a radiant finish. It blurs imperfections but still looks like skin, helping me feel extra confident. I wear ‘M3.5 Vanuata.’
The Kosas Revealer Concealer is another staple in my makeup routine that works for every day as well as special occasions. It offers medium-to-full coverage but has a hydrating, natural finish. It’s great for concealing blemishes and highlighting my under eyes, which can be challenging to find in a single formula. This line also has amazing shades for olive skin tones: ’06 O’ is my perfect match.
When compiling my list this year, the DIBS Beauty Desert Island Duo was the first product that came to my mind. Both the blush and bronzer formulas are blendable and buildable, and I have found myself reaching for them more than any of the other products on my vanity. I own and love nearly all of the shades but recommend ‘1.5’ for lighter skin tones and ‘5.5’ for darker skin tones.
I never thought I could love a blush as much as I love the Patrick Ta Major Beauty Headlines Double-Take Crème and Powder Blushes; they are genuinely one of my all-time favorite beauty products. The sheer, glossy cream layer on top of the silky powder so beautifully. I am gradually collecting all of the shades, but ‘She’s So LA’ is my favorite for a bronzy nude look and ‘She’s Blushing’ for a shimmering rose look.
The Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palettes* are the definition of luxury and definitely a must-have in my collection. With multi-dimensional shimmers and creamy mattes, both the original and rose version of this palette include everything needed to create a variety of looks.
I struggled to achieve the lifted, laminated brow look until I tried the Got2B Glued Spiking Glue. It’s meant to be used for hair, but when I apply a tiny amount with a spoolie, it holds my brows in place like nothing else.
My 2022 obsession with nude lip liners started with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in ‘Iconic Nude’. Regardless of how many nude lip liners I have in my collection, I will always repurchase this one because it truly is the perfect nude for me. It’s a medium shade with neutral undertones, making it ideal for contouring my lips and acheiving a larger-looking pout. And the longlasting and comfortable formula is just as amazing as the color.
The Maybelline Lifter Glosses were by far my most used glosses of the year. Although they are affordable, everything about the formula feels so highend. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, they are hydrating, plumping and high-shine. All the shades in the line are amazing, but my favorite is ‘Ice,’ a sheer milky pink.
