When it comes to makeup, the only rule is that there are no rules. Regardless of what other people think or say, if you want to wear makeup to the beach, you should. Here are a few of my favorite products for a believable bronze goddess makeup look that is perfect for long summer days at the beach or pool.

Even though it is not makeup, Sunscreen is always an essential in my beach bag and hopefully yours too. I have tried so many facial sunscreens, but the Tarte TarteGuard SPF 30 is my all time favorite because it never irritates my skin. It feels very hydrating without being sticky and my makeup always applies really well after, which I love!

No matter how much I love a full face of makeup, I love to keep my skin as a fresh-faced as possible when at the beach. For my base, I prefer to wear only concealer because I find that I can achieve the same effect as foundation without feeling like my face is melting off. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer is wonderful for blending under my eyes and on any redness with my fingertips for effortless coverage.

If you would like more coverage with added sun protection, I recommend either the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup for those of you with more dry skin or the BareMinerals Original Foundation for those of you with more oily skin. Both look and feel undetectable on the skin while still evening everything out for a beautiful barely there look that stays put all day.

I strongly believe that one can never wear too much bronzer to the beach and my favorite option is the Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer in ‘Iridescent Cinnamon’. This is a gel-powder waterproof formula and although you do have to build it up, it always gives me the prettiest summer glow. If you’re looking for a luminous bronzer that doesn’t look frosty, then this one is amazing!

Although powder highlighters looks stunning in photos, they can tend to sit on top of the skin and look unnatural in person, which is why I opt for lightweight yet pigmented creams. Lately, I have been loving the Milk Highlighter in ‘Lit since it has a beachy champagne shade with bronze undertones. It blends out wonderfully with the heat of my fingertips and catches the light beautifully.

For lips, I enjoy adding a little luminosity when in the sun, so of course, the L’Oreal ColourRiche Pop Balm in ‘Caring Coral’ is my top choice. The tropical pinky-orange shade matches so well with the blush mentioned above and feels very moisturizing.
