2018 was replete with countleess memories — both delightful and difficult — and although I am grateful for family, friends, and you, I am very much looking forward to the new year. My wish is that 2019 will be brighter than ever and that everyone’s highlight is equally bright!

The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in ‘Rose Gold’ is such a lovely choice for the holidays as it imparts a rosy glow to the cheeks. This would be an absolutely beautiful highlighter for deeper skin tones since it is much darker than the typical champagne shade but I enjoy applying this along the apples of my cheeks like a blush before I apply powder products.  This formula has a noticeable yet natural, shimmer-free sheen  and melts into the skin so well with a damp beauty sponge.

For a classic cult favorite, I always opt for the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter and this year, I have been wearing the shade ‘Opal’ – a medium golden pearl with warm undertones. It is not only shimmery as the name suggests, but also intense, long-lasting, and light-reflecting. If you want everyone at that New Year’s party to compliment your glowing cheekbones, then I recommend this highlighter.

For those of you who prefer a more subtle makeup look, the Benefit  Watts Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter is a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays. It works exceptionally with dry, tired skin, blends easily with fingertips, and features a pretty champagne glow. Like the powder highlighter mentioned above, I own the travel-sized version of this product, and think it is a fantastic choice.
