Just as skincare is essential to achieving a gorgeous makeup look, the skin is the most important of makeup. Whether I am having a good skin day or a not-so-good skin day, I have finally found my perfect makeup routine for creating a “flawless her natural-looking,” glowy complexion. My skin has been a lot less dry this winter than it has in previous years, and I honestly believe that the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask is the reason. After my morning skincare routine, I apply a thin layer to hydrate and smooth my skin. Pro tip: Mix in a few drops of the L’oréal True Match Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer for a dewy, moisturizing base!
For full glam looks, I have been reaching for the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation in ‘Vanuata.’ It provides full coverage, has a natural, skin-like finish, and is very long-wearing without ever feeling cakey. I enjoy mixing it with a few drops of the Revlon PhotoReady Rose Glow Hydrating + Illuminating Primer . This is not the dewiest combination, but it is very radiant and cake-free. I dot it onto my face with my finger and then blend it out with my Beauty Blender, working in thin, gradual layers.
The Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer in ‘Warm Medium’ is ideal for concealing any discoloration as it matches my skin tone, offers medium coverage, and has a similar finish to my foundation. I blend this out under my eyes, around my nose, and in between my eyebrows using the same damp sponge. To highlight my under eye area, I use the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Undereye Concealer in ’20S Light Sand,’ which has a thicker consistency and dewier finish that blends best with my fingertips.
One of my favorite steps in my routine is applying cream bronzer, and the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base is the best of the best. Although the unacceptable shade range means that I have to build this product up, I love the way it looks along my cheeks, forehead, temples, and jawline.
An additional product in my routine that I think looks so pretty in person is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in ‘Rose Gold,’ as it serves a bronzer, blush, and highlighter all in one, adding color and warmth as well as shimmer-free radiance.
One new addition to my collection and routine is the Tom Ford Soleil Shade & Illuminate Glow Stick in ’03 Megeve,’ featuring a rosy nude cream blush on one end and a rosy champagne cream highlighter on the other end. The shades are a dream come true and the formula is as silky and dewy as can be. I apply and blend out the product with with my fingertips.
After waiting a few minutes for all of my liquid and cream products to set, I take a clean, damp BeautyBlender and pat a small amount of the Rimmel Stay Matte Transparent Powder onto my t-zone. For my under eye area and my cheeks, I combine it with the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter, which gives a subtle glow without any shimmer or glitter. I focus on applying this on the areas where I will be applying powder products later so as to prevent them from becoming patchy.
Adding more color and definition to my face is crucial for achieving a beautiful complexion, so the Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer in ’25I Iridescent Cinnamon’ is a must-have for me. It is sheer and buildable with the most pretty and natural sheen, and I apply this on the outer perimeters of my face with a larger, tapered fluffy brush. Using a more precise flat brush, I contour my cheekbones, forehead, temples, and jawline with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, which has slightly cooler undertones. After, I always go in with a clean, powder brush to ensure there are no harsh lines.
And that is the final look, everyone! I hope you found this post and my Instagram TV video helpful.
